Design Systems
Services

Design systems that actually ship. We design, build and run scalable design systems, connecting Figma, production code and product teams around one shared foundation.

Widelab helps product teams build faster and stay consistent at scale. From complex multi-brand ecosystems to fast-moving scale-ups, design, code, adoption, ownership.

AI-Native Framework

A design system that turns
Figma into production

A design system creates value only when teams actually use it. We work across strategy, design, code, implementation and governance — from the first token to components running across multiple products.

01
One source of truth

Design decisions live as variables in Figma, generate into tokens, and ship as a versioned package, with one brand file per surface. What you sign off in Figma is what renders in code – they’re both reading the same tokens.

02
Your brand, your system

We can start you on Wideset, our enterprise design system, rebranded to your identity, or use the one you have already. A rebrand becomes a single file rather than a six-month rebuild, and you own the result.

03
Velocity you can measure

On a system, a designer's time moves from redrawing components to deciding what to build. Discovery that ran in days runs in hours, and a full interface that ran in weeks runs in a fraction of that.

04
Built for your AI too

The same rules a new designer reads, an agent reads. The design-system codebase becomes context an LLM can generate against, so AI produces on-system output instead of drifting slop.

Our design
system process

01

Discovery

Understand the ecosystem

We start with your products, teams, technology and existing libraries. We identify fragmentation, duplicated work and the areas where a shared system can create the most value.

You get a system audit, a map of the ecosystem and scoped roadmap.

02

Foundation

Define the foundation

We define the system architecture, design principles, tokens, theming and component strategy. Everything is built around the way your organization actually creates products.

03

Design & Build

Components evolve in design and code

Figma libraries, production components and Storybook share the same logic, naming and behavior from day one — so the two never drift apart.

04

Implement & Adopt

We bring the system into real products

We support migrations, work alongside product teams and help roll the system out across applications, brands and squads.

You get a react application, ready to evolve inside your target software.

05

Govern & Evolve

A design system is never really finished

We can stay responsible for releases, documentation, contribution processes and further development as your products evolve.

Selected work

Fitch, a design system designed and coded end to end

We built Fitch Ratings' entire design system from scratch, and now we’re optimizing it for AI. Senior designers work inside their product every day, backed by engineers building workflows with Figma Make, Claude, and other AI tools. It’s the clearest version of our model: one system, owned by the client, kept current.

Circle K, one system across many products

We run one component library across several products, each keeping its own context, with our senior designers working inside their design team. Their entire brand change lives in a single file of a few dozen lines, because theming at that scale is a design-system problem, and the system is what makes it a one-file change.

Questions?
We've got you.

Do you only design design systems, or do you also build them?

Both. We can take responsibility for the complete system across Figma and production code, including component development, Storybook and documentation.

Can you work with an existing design system?

Yes. We start with an audit of what you already have: libraries, tokens, components and how teams actually use them. From there we extend, refactor or rebuild only what needs it, so you keep what works and your teams don’t have to start over.

Can one system support multiple brands or products?

Yes, that’s what it’s built for. Shared foundations and tokens sit underneath, and each brand or product gets its own theme on top. A new brand becomes a file, not a project, and every component inherits it.

Do you help with implementation?

Yes. We support migrations, work alongside your product teams and help roll the system out across applications, brands and squads, so it runs in real products, not only in a Figma library.

What happens after the design system is launched?

A design system is never really finished. We can stay responsible for releases, documentation, contribution processes and further development, or hand ownership to your team with a governance model that keeps it evolving.

Ready to build a system
people want to use?

Whether you’re bringing order to a complex product ecosystem or building a new product at speed, we can help create the foundation behind it.
